Personalized, Research-Based Curriculum for Holistic Early Childhood Development

Our research-based curriculum can be personalized to meet the individual developmental needs of each child. Successfully achieving key milestones prepares each child for elementary school, just as interactive and teamwork-based learning experiences do. This is "The Creative Curriculum" for young children, which includes goals and objectives appropriate for social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development. It also offers additional resources such as activity cards, songs, and books. The curriculum focuses on the areas of interest of our young students. Our research-based curriculum has won several awards.

• The Creative Curriculum for preschool education promotes exploration and discovery as a learning method, enabling children to gain self-confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

• The Creative Curriculum for preschool education is based on 38 developmental and learning objectives.

We focus on milestones in five key areas:

Socio-emotional: Developing an understanding of their own emotions and relationships with others, such as family, friends, and community members. Learning to interact with others and develop self-awareness. Maintaining positive relationships and participating collaboratively and constructively in group situations. Solving social problems.

Physical: Learning to coordinate and control both large and small muscle movements. Understanding concepts of health and safety. Using drawing and writing tools. Active bodies, healthy minds.

• Language: Reinforcing effective communication skills through the use of sounds, expressions, body language, and ultimately written and oral language. Responding to and understanding others, while using social language rules.

• Cognitive: Developing a positive understanding of the world as they learn to think critically and creatively. They learn to pay attention, participate, be persistent, and solve problems. They associate, use classification skills, and engage in dramatic play.

Literacy, Math, Science and Technology, Social Studies, and Art: In addition to acquiring the Spanish language.

Promoting Healthy Habits and Positive Discipline for a Brighter Future

Grow Fit Nutritious meals, physical education, and healthy living education define this initiative, which aims to instill healthy habits in every child for a healthy future.

Positive Discipline With young children, challenging behaviors may include things like resistance, aggression, or hurtful words. Most of the time, this behavior stems from the fact that children have not yet developed the essential social, emotional, language, and cognitive skills that lead to more positive behavior. At FCCLH "THE GOLDEN AGE," challenging behavior is seen as a learning opportunity. For our teachers and parents, we provide tools and resources to assist with behavior and offer ideas and strategies to guide children toward positive behavior both at daycare and outside of it, as we maintain open communication with parents to work together on positive discipline for our children.

Our History 19 years of quality early childhood education

FCCLH "THE GOLDEN AGE" opened its doors in October 2006. We are located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This Family Daycare Home is designed for children aged 0 to 4 years. We understand that all children have different interests, abilities, and learning styles, which is why our educational and childcare approach takes into account the individuality of each child with personalized programs. We foster a love for learning and exploration in each child, providing the best possible early childhood education experience.

Our center has been awarded for the past 12 years with the 3-star Quality Rated, the highest standard of quality in the state of Georgia. We also hold the National Accreditation granted by NAFCC (National Association of Family Child Care), and its owner and director, Mrs. Gleydis Estrada, was selected by GACYC as the Provider of the Year 2017 in the state of Georgia. She is the current president of ALEI (Latin Association of Early Childhood Educators), an Ambassador for Quality Rated in Georgia, a CPR and First Aid Instructor, and a Professional Development CDA Specialist at the Council in Washington.

All staff working at FCCLH "THE GOLDEN AGE" have an Associate's degree in Child Development (CDA), meaning that our teachers are trained to provide our children with all their knowledge while offering loving care as if the Family Daycare were an extension of their home. This is our main objective.
